TomTom GPS now available on your mobile

Do you love being told when and where to turn by the comforting voice of TomTom, but don’t want that ugly GPS device on your dash? Well it looks like we’ve found what you’re looking for. The TomTom GPS, a whopping 1.21 GB app for the iPhone, is now the only full-featured GPS app available.

The app is yours for $99; not the most appealing price tag for an iPhone app, however most GPS apps will charge you a $10 monthly subscription fee anyway. After 10 months the purchase will be well worth it. Check out more from MobileCrunch here.

  2. Navigon sells their GPS App for $30 less—-and it is excellent! Turns your iPhone into a superb GPS unit. And I like the Navigon software/interface/feature set better. Looks nicer on the display as well.

  3. Don’t forget that Garmin has a BlackBerry app for the same prices. Although you do have to have a GPS enabled BlackBerry. The Garmin app for BlackBerry is a bit “lighter” on the size because it downloads the maps on the fly (leaving you stranded if you don’t have data service… but I digress).
